What if you found

yourself traveling?

Carrying a small bag

packed with things

you think you’ll need.

You close the door

on your home and

your life, head out

into the world to

find...what?

New people. New food.

New places to sleep.

You head out unsure

of where your feet

will take you. But,

what if you travel not

for pleasure or out of

curiosity but because

your home is in peril?

What if ...

when you returned,

your door, (if your door

 still existed), opened

on to rubble? What if...

the truth was

there is no returning,

because you didn’t

just travel -- you fled,

blown on a fiery wind.

To land    who knows where?

To live      who knows how?

Just you

and

one

small

bag.
